Being one of the most delicious seafood, Sri Lankan mud crab is a name you need to hear of. Mud Crabs are economically important species that are living in lagoons in dry zones. They are important to mankind mainly as food. They are scientifically identified as Scylla Serata is also known as black crab.
At Neptune Farms, we ensure that you get the real authentic mud crabs farm fresh to your table, be it within the country or any of our overseas markets. These crabs are caught off the lagoons and refreshed in our RAS vertical pods prior to dispatch to our customer locations.
All orders are shipped in insulated Styrofoam boxes and refrigerated throughout transportation. There is no charge for packing materials. Live crabs delivered caught and packed same day are shipped using air cargo facilities in the country to ensure fresh delivery.
Perfectly packed crabs can be transported for 8-10 hours, even in very hot weather, if they are protected from direct wind. Our packing of freshly caught crabs in Styrofoam boxes and transported in refer containers ensures that the crabs arrive to destinations as fresh as it was caught at source.
The sizes of the available crabs will be in the following formation. Each Styrofoam box will contain approximately 18-20 kgs of net weight of crabs for air lifting overnight.
